Cost of Treatment & Insurance Information

Most orthodontists tend to treat the cost of braces like the “elephant in the room,” refusing to provide insight or guidance until your consultation appointment. But we’re built differently. When Dr. Hulse says that your quality of care is our pinnacle consideration, he means it. And our team lives by it.

Please understand that there is ABSOLUTELY no way to propose a cost of braces until your new patient appointment, at which time Dr. Hulse will have performed a thorough exam. Period. Thus the following is offered as a simple point of guidance.

Phase I or early interceptive treatment, with no discounts or insurance applied tends to range between $1800 and $4100. Full orthodontic treatment (Braces or Invisalign), with no discounts or insurance applied, tends to range between $4500 and $6400. That variance in the cost of braces depends mostly on the complexity of treatment needed to yield the “perfect” smile. Malocclusions like “open bites” and jaw irregularities are far more complex than “crowded teeth.”

Dental Insurance

Hopefully you are fortunate enough to have orthodontic benefits provided by your dental insurance. If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs! Understand, though, that insurance policies vary, so we will review yours thoroughly to determine the appropriate course of action. If your benefits change while you are in treatment, or they become terminated, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.
